The Children’s Trust Fund was created by the legislature in 1985. Our mission is to provide funding and support for the development of innovative and pioneering community-based programs that strengthen the social and emotional bonds between parents and their children.
New Mexico License Plate
The purpose of the Children's Trust Fund is to increase access to innovative services that strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect. Funding for the program comes from the state general fund, KID license plate fees ($42 for autos, $22 for motorcycles, in addition to registration fees), a portion of marriage license fees, and Trust Fund investment income. Available at your local Motor Vehicle Office.
